2019 Navarro Vineyards Gewurztraminer, Anderson Valley, California (750ml)
Navarro's Gewuztraminer has long been considered a benchmark for the variety in California, and with good reason. It is an excellent rendition, vintage after vintage.
Usually quite dry, with all the aromatic expression one expects from Gewurz, but without succumbing to the excess that can manifest in conditions that are too warm or where picking is too late. In the 2018 the juice from each of six sub-blocks was cool-fermented, and aged sur lie for nine months in seasoned oak ovals. Aromatic and lush with a dry finish. Cases produced: 2,534
