2021 Bloodroot Pinot Noir, Sonoma County, California (750ml)

This Pinot Noir, spearheaded by Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines and in collaboration with a secret cadre of Sonoma winemakers, is sourced from 12 different vineyard sites throughout Sonoma County as well as sites in Marin and Mendocino.  This blending of sites showcases the dynamic potential of Sonoma County wine-making, creating a Pinot Noir with great focus and clarity.

This Pinot Noir was fermented in small open-topped barrels with daily punch-downs, then aged 16 months in French Oak (20% new).  The high-toned fruit and tannin bring finesse with a surprisingly powerful, lasting finish and makes for an incredible value. Aromas of bright Cranberry, tart red cherry, and rhubarb are supported by elegant tea like tannins; the body is savory and sanguine, with nuanced spearmint and licorice notes.
