Kilchoman Fino Sherry Matured Small Batch Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Islay, Scotland (750ml)   

The 2nd Autumn release from Kilchoman is the Fino Matured limited edition. The casks for this expression were used previously by Bodega Miguel Martin in Spain, including 11 fresh sherry butts and just the one refill butt. Combining the savory notes of peated whisky with the salinity of Fino, this will definitely be one of the more popular releases from the distillery.

Producer notes ~ Our core range of whiskies include oloroso sherry in their maturation, a medium-dry style of sherry which gives our whiskies a range of cooked and dried fruit influence. Fino (used here) differs from this by being a drier, more saline type of sherry which gives Kilchoman whisky layers of fragrant green apple, balancing beautifully with the citrus sweetness, cooked fruits and maritime peat smoke of our spirit.
