Macallan Edition No. 6 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Moray, Scotland (750ml)

The fifth release in Macallan’s Edition series was blended by whisky maker Sarah Burgess and consists entirely of liquid matured in American oak—a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill and refill sherry casks.

Whisky Advocate says: Edition No. 5 has brilliant purple packaging—a color unique to this whisky. The color was custom-designed for Macallan by Pantone Color Institute vice president Laurie Pressman as an homage to the complexity of the whisky. Like all Macallans, Edition No. 5 is bottled without any added coloring—the liquid’s golden hue is totally natural.

We have tried mightily for 4 years at our 114 Channel Street location, and for 15 months now at Chase Center, to reach a level of sustainability, and to find additional working capital to keep the two locations afloat. Unfortunately we have not been successful in either endeavor.

We deeply appreciate your patronage, but must close the doors while we attempt a restructuring of the business. Thrive City Wine Bar is closed effective immediately. 114 Channel street will stay open for retail only through March 31st.
