The Douro Valley in Portugal and its fine fortified wines have a longer recorded history than most wine regions in Portugal, and enjoy such international fame that many have literally forgotten that Port—properly labeled—comes uniquely from Portugal! On this eve Eugenio Jardim, US Ambassador for Wines of Portugal, will be on hand to share his knowledge of Port styles, including White Port, Tawnies of various ages, Late-Bottled Vintage Port, and Single Quinta Vintage Port. We have selected an assortment of cheeses that we find particularly compatible with these delicious wines, an additional treat that you will not want to miss!

The Flight will kick off with a Niepoort Dry White Port with a splash of tonic and a twist; you can pretend you are on a shaded veranda of a Port Quinta overlooking the beautiful Douro river valley!
