The Bindi winery was established near the town of Gisbourne in 1988 by Michael's father Bill Dhillon. The name Bindi came from the meaning of the word which is the ornamental dot worn on the foreheads of women in India, Bill Dhillon's native home.

2015 Bindi Dixon Pinot Noir, Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia (750ml)
2016 Shaw & Smith Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, Australia (750ml)
Shaw + Smith Shiraz is a medium bodied cool-climate Shiraz, in which balance is more important than power. The 2017 vintage was very cool, and Shiraz was picked four weeks later than usual. The wine is particularly fragrant as a result of the season.
2018 Luke Lambert Syrah, Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia (750ml)
If you still think of Australian Shiraz as uniformly behemoth, think again. There is elegance, purity and focus in Luke Lambert's wines, and this is a fine example.
2019 Michel Torino Collection Malbec, Cafayate Valley, Argentina (750ml)
Michel Torino Malbec has been a big hit in our $12/under section for the last several vintages. We think it's because it over delivers for its very friendly price point with an equally friendly, fruity and soft character.
2016 Chateau Les Justices Sauternes, Bordeaux, France (375ml)
Rich and seductive, with a creamy texture and long, long finish. This is Sauternes at its finest. Fantastic with crème brulée, fruit-based desserts, intense blue cheeses, or nothing (on) at all. ;>)
El Maestro Sierra Amontillado 12 Year Sherry, Jerez, Spain (375ml)
The Palomino grapes that went into this Amontillado or medium dry Sherry come from sustainably farmed vineyards between 10 and 60 years old.
El Maestro Sierra 15 Year Oloroso Sherry, Jerez, Spain (375ml)
This lovely Oloroso Sherry comes from a 15 year solera. It shows great texture and nuance with all the medium richness one looks for in an Oloroso but with added elegance and complexity. Aromas and flavors of nuts (think hazelnuts dipped in a thin layer of dark chocolate) and exotically fragrant spices grace the generous palate.
El Maestro Sierra Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Jerez, Spain (375ml)
This bottling of El Maestro Sierra Pedro Ximenez comes from a 15 year old solera and is a lovely expression of the grape. As to be expected, the color is a deep dark brown and the wine has an appealing density and richness to it.
