2018 i Clivi Ribolla Gialla, Veneto, Italy (750ml)   

The i Clivi Ribolla Gialla is aromatically neutral with hints of lemon zest. The palate is crisp and lean; it's marked by refreshing citric acidity and a long sapid texture. Minerals and salinity define the beautiful finish.
From i Clivi: Ferdinando Zanusso and his son are impeccably expressing the great terroir of the Colli Orientali del Friuli and Collio growing districts. What distinguishes I Clivi from their peers are their devastatingly low yields, steep terrain, and old vines that range from sixty to eighty years of age. It is not surprising that their soils of calcareous clay, or ponca in local dialect.
