Notes from the Distiller- The Knappogue Castle Cask Finish Series is a range of single malts finished in the finest wine casks. The Marchesi di Barolo limited release is matured in bourbon barrels for a minimum of 12 years, then further aged in casks from the renowned Barolo Winery.

Made exclusively from malted barley, distilled in copper pot stills, this expression is non-chilled filtered and bottled at 92 proof. Nose: Fruity with aromas of strawberries, cinnamon buns, banana fritters and caramel toffees. Taste: A great mix of spice and fruit characters. Red apples, berry fruit and red cherries. Finish: Hints of peppery oak leads to a spicy finish.

We have tried mightily for 4 years at our 114 Channel Street location, and for 15 months now at Chase Center, to reach a level of sustainability, and to find additional working capital to keep the two locations afloat. Unfortunately we have not been successful in either endeavor.

We deeply appreciate your patronage, but must close the doors while we attempt a restructuring of the business. Thrive City Wine Bar is closed effective immediately. 114 Channel street will stay open for retail only through March 31st.
