Nikka Yoichi Japanese Single Malt Whisky, Japan (750ml)   

Yoichi Distillery is on the west of Sapporo trapped by mountains on three sides and opening to a coast. Yoichi was founded by the Japanese whisky legend Taketsuru in 1934. The distillery continued to grow in a steady pace and became one of the Japan's leading distilleries.

This expression from Yoichi replaced the age statement whiskies from the distillery, which was a bad news for all whisky lovers in the world. This is a blend of Yoichi single malts from different years and it doesn't carry an age statement. Yoichi's whiskies are often more masculine and peaty than other whiskies under the brand of Nikka. I could call this whisky having more maritime notes and a distinctive smoke. It has a good body which makes a good couple with ripe fruits and long ending.
