Another heavy hitter from the folks at Sagamore Spirits in Baltimore, MD. Owner, Kevin Plank- CEO of Under Armour, sources the ryes from MGP. They blend two of the Indiana distillery’s expressions, one higher-rye and one lower, to emulate the traditional Maryland style.

All of Sagamore’s whiskeys are proofed with local limestone-rich spring water. The new Sagamore Spirit Calvados Finish takes straight rye whiskeys and finishes them for at least 11 months in Calvados barrels before being blended and aged for another 9 months in low-rye American oak barrels. Silky soft notes of baked apples, cinnamon and honey from the storied French apple brandy casks.
