Producer Notes - "R. JELINEK AMARO belongs to the herb liqueur category produced by maceration of more than twenty different botanicals mostly coming from the local sources. The well-balanced bittersweet taste is uniquely juicy and citrusy thanks to the components such as orange peel, lime and plum juice. The nose is a diverse component of many parts ranging from lemon to root beer. In order to maintain it’s consistent high quality Jelinek Amaro is produced only in small batches. 30% ABV.

RUDOLF JELÍNEK continues a more than 400-year tradition of Wallachian alcohol production. The first written evidence of a distillery is found in the urbarium of the Vizovice fief dating back to 1585. Thanks to its climate, the Vizovice region is especially suitable for plums – that is why their production (slivovitz) and subsequent processing have always been an important part of local farmers’ lives. The end of the 19th century saw a boom of local distilleries. Our distillers continue these traditions and their experience is deeply rooted in them."
