A very well-balanced Bordeaux blend from the Napa Valley and the deft touch of winemaker Laura Barrett. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot, 5% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc. The palate delivers black currant, licorice and a touch of graphite. Fine-grained but firm tannins suggest it is cellar worthy for 5-7 years as well.
Producer notes ~ "The Climber is part of our Adventure Wine Series and features a photo of Ron Kauk, famed climber and friend of Gary and Kit, on the front label. Ron is climbing Yosemite's famed Heaven which he was the first to climb in the 1990's. This wine pays tribute to Gary's time climbing with Ron in Yosemite and to the adventurous spirit in all of us."
