Producer notes ~ "This exquisite Kavalan whisky has won several prestigious awards, including a gold at the World Whiskies Awards. The expression also received a Gold in its category at the International Spirits Challenge. Kavalan ex-Bourbon Oak dilutes Solist ex-Bourbon with Kavalan spring water to 46% strength. It is incredibly smooth with a soft sweetness, losing the harshness and the alcohol edge and lingering over those unique flavors. It is clean and fresh tropical fruitiness with pleasant vanilla, coconut and spices."

More infoMartin Miller's 'Westbourne Strength' Gin, London, England (750ml)
Producer notes ~ "Martin Miller’s Westbourne Gin. A gin for those in the know, its name derives from the location of Martin Miller’s own residence in Westbourne Grove in London, where the brand was conceived. Created in response to requests by ‘mixologists’ for a Martin Miller’s Gin that would give a more ‘old school’ authenticity to their classic repertoire of cocktails and help them create more fully-flavoured inventions. It became a bartender’s favourite from the very beginning, enjoying an underground cult status and closely-guarded secret among the bar fraternity. Intense and citrus. An emphasis on the spicier, peppery notes of cassia and nutmeg. Harnessed to an exact higher craft strength for a smooth and attractive alcohol sensation."
More infoMassenez Poire Williams Brandy, Alsace, France (375ml)
From its founding in 1870, the Eau-de Vie's from Massenez have set a benchmark for the category. They are traditionally consumed at the end of a meal, chilled or over ice, but also work very well in mixed drinks.

More infoRaymond Ragnaud Pineau des Charentes, France (750ml)
The Raymond Ragnaud Pineau des Charentes is made by combining 2/3 unfermented grape must (containing no alcohol) with 1/3 young Cognac at about 60% alcohol. The strength of the alcohol prevents the yeasts and sugar from fermenting, stabilizing the wine between at 17% alcohol. This mixture then goes into foudre (large oak vats) to age for four years, over which time the Pineau picks up aromas that include notes of figs, pears, and nuts. The sugar from the grape must makes this sweet, while the acidity and alcohol never permits it from becoming cloying. Usually served with an ice cube in a tulip-shaped glass, this is a classic French aperitif, very popular back in the fifties and sixties and enjoying a bit of a comeback, particularly when incorporated into creative cocktails. Other uses for Pineau include basting roasted meats or thickening sauces. We enjoy it in warmer weather combined with tonic and ice in a tall glass. Add a lemon twist, squeeze of lime or orange wedge if you wish.

Rey Campero Jabali uses one of the more seldom-used agave varieties, Jabali. The flavor of this Mezcal has lots of tropical fruit and citrus. It is earthy with a hint of pepper. Its richly textured and the smoke frames the wild flavors of this special agave. Part of what makes the Jabali agave so seldom used in Mezcal is its history of expanding and foaming during the distillation process, which makes this a very high risk, high reward Mezcal.
